First Vocal Improv App, ScatAbility, Now Available At iTunes App Store
Jazz students around the world can now master jazz improvisation skills alongside the jazz industry's top vocalists with the first-ever vocal scat singing app now available on the iTunes app store.
With just a swipe of the smart phone, ScatAbility offers students of all ages and performance levels an immersive educational experience in vocal improvisation.
Designed by Michele Weir, one of the industry's top vocal arrangers and educators, ScatAbility is the first improvisation app of its kind. Available for IOS devices, the app is a free download with in-app purchases available @ $9.99. ScatAbility allows the vocalist to rehearse varying chord progressions and intricate melodic lines, while developing skills in phrasing, syllables, style, ear training and rhythmic feel.
“As an educator, I wanted to create an affordable, effective and easy-to-use tool that also is musical and highly applicable to real-life professional use,” Weir said. “Students can now develop their scat singing skills anywhere, anytime.“
