Beantown Jazz Festival Coming to Boston September 26th

The 15th annual Beantown Jazz Festival will take place in Boston's South End on Sept. 26. The all-day, free outdoor event will feature contemporary jazz, funk, Latin, pop and soul acts on three stages, from noon to 6 p.m. on Columbus Avenue between Massachusetts Avenue and Burke Street. Highlights include R&B artist Ledisi; tenor saxophonist Javon Jackson with drummer Jimmy Cobb; the Mosaic Project, a collective led by drummer/producer and Beantown artistic director Terri Lyne Carrington, with Philly-based soul/R&B vocalist Jaguar Wright; singer/songwriter Paige Bryan; rising funk bassist Alissia Benveniste and the Funketeers; and others.
